Oscillation Model for Network Dynamics Caused by Asymmetric Node Interaction Based on the Symmetric Scaled Laplacian Matrix

چکیده
Since recent development and dissemination of ICTs activate information exchange on social networks, the dynamics for describing propagation of activities on the networks has became an interesting research object. This paper proposes an oscillation model describing the propagation of activities on social and information networks. In order to analyze such dynamics, we generally need to model asymmetric interaction between nodes. This paper discusses a symmetric matrix-based model that can describe some types of link asymmetry. Although the proposed model is simple, it can reproduce well-known indices of node centrality and can be considered as the underlying mechanism of network dynamics. As an application of the proposed model, we show a framework to estimate natural frequency of networks by utilizing resonance. Keywords—Laplacian matrix, coupled oscillators, node centrality, resonance

Link Prediction using Network Embedding based on Global Similarity
Background: The link prediction issue is one of the most widely used problems in complex network analysis. Link prediction requires knowing the background of previous link connections and combining them with available information. The link prediction local approaches with node structure objectives are fast in case of speed but are not accurate enough. On the other hand, the global link predicti...

We have chosen an Ising ASYNNNI (ASYmmetric Next Nearest Neighbor Interaction) model under a grand canonical regime to investigate structural phase transition from a high symmetric tetragonal (Tet) to a low symmetric orthorhombic in YBa2Cu3O6+x , 0<x<1, HTc system. Ordering process for absorbed oxygens from an external gas bath into the basal plane of the layered system is studied by Monte C...
متن کاملDistributed Connectivity Assessment of Asymmetric Networks
The problem of connectivity assessment of an asymmetric network represented by a weighted directed graph is investigated in this paper. The notion of generalized algebraic connectivity is introduced for this type of network as an extension of conventional algebraic connectivity measure for symmetric networks. This new notion represents the expected asymptotic convergence rate of a continuous-ti...
متن کاملFault Detection and Isolation of Multi-Agent Systems via Complex Laplacian
This paper studies the problem of fault detection and isolation (FDI) for multi-agent systems (MAS) via complex Laplacian subject to actuator faults. A planar formation of point agents in the plane using simple and linear interaction rules related to complex Laplacian is achieved. The communication network is a directed, and yet connected graph with a fixed topology. The loss of symmetry in the...
متن کاملModeling and investigating the effect of ultrasound waves pressure on the microbubble oscillation dynamics in microvessels containing an incompressible fluid (Research Article)
Understanding the dynamics of microbubble oscillation in an elastic microvessel is important for the safe and effective applications of ultrasound contrast agents in imaging and therapy. Numerical simulations based on 2D finite element model are performed to investigate the effect of acoustic parameters such as pressure and frequency on the dynamic interaction of the fluid-blood-vessel system. ...
